Robert A Villegas, M.D.

Dr. Robert A Villegas studied at St. John's University where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in 1978 where he then continued his education at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and received his MD in 1985. He founded RAV Consulting and Management, LLC in 2005 and has since been the Chief Medical Officer. He is also the Medical Director at Metropolitan Anesthesiology Associates, LLC and has been there since 2012.

After completing his residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, Florida he entered the U.S. Air Force. He was a Flight Surgeon, anesthesiologist and intensivist and deployed in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1990-91. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology, Pediatric Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine 

Subsequently he moved to private practice in South Florida serving as Medical Director of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine in various hospital settings.

In 2006 he became an Assistant Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. He went on to pursue a private practice in both clinical and consultative medicine.
